Description

Manufactured in the UK, Shire's summerhouses are renowned for their quality and probably make the best value for money summerhouses in the UK today. The Shire Arbour is elegant, open and perfect for those long summer nights and comes pressure treated for long life. A garden hide-away that creates its own romance.  Its hexagonal shape and decorative railings make this building a real break from the norm. Shire buildings are made from a high grade ship-lap tongue and groove construction. This is distinguished from fast grown type timber used on cheaper sheds from other manufactures. Tongue and groove construction means the building is better sealed from the elements. The timber used is a continental slow grown timber. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life.

Frame: A robust Planed 35x35mm (1 1/2' x 1 1/2') framework (walls and floor) that gives the building strength.

Floor: manufactured from high quality 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding.

Roof: manufactured from high quality 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding.

Walls: are constructed using high quality 12mm thick softwood planed tongue and groove shiplap pattern boarding. All timber is from sustainable sources, so that you can feel good about buying a Shire summerhouse.

Pressure Treatment - With this treatment a preservative is forced into the timber under high pressure, providing effective long term protection against rot and fungus. Pressure treatment is almost colourless except for a light green tint caused by the copper content in the preservative. You can personalize the Shire Summerhouse Arbour by either painting, staining or it can just be left. In the course of time, the treatment greys, but this does not affect the quality.

"Love it: Bought our arbour back in March & have used it ever since. We like it very much & even our neighbours comment how nice it is & looks as if its always been there. The garden would not look the same without it.
