Description

If you are looking to add compact and convenient storage to your garden at a low cost, or you want to replace an existing garden shed with a great value and reliable apex shed, the 8 x 6 Overlap Windowless Shed is perfect for you. Constructed to a simple design from high quality timber, this fantastic garden shed is available at a low price while still providing great quality.

This 8 x 6 overlap shed is better than the average overlap. It may well be low in price but you will find for example not just double doors but hidden features such as supporting rails top and bottom on the inside of each wall , not just on the top like some others on the market.

Timber - You will be impressed by Shire's use of natural products and their environmental credentials. A high quality timber garden building starts with high quality timber, so it is important to know exactly what timber is being used for your garden shed. The most commonly used timber for garden buildings is pine as this is widely available for a very cheap price, however all of Shire's garden buildings are constructed using high quality spruce and is sourced from Siberia and Scandinavia under strict FSC guidance. Spruce is more durable than pine and provides a higher quality finish. This timber is slow grown unlike fast grown British timber, being slow grown timber means a tighter grain, less sap and with far less knots and warping occurring.

The timber used on Shire's garden buildings is therefore a more durable timber that will last much longer than other timbers used on garden sheds. Spruce is therefore the timber of choice for companies such as Shire who always look to produce the best garden sheds.

Walls - The overlap construction allows efficient run off of water and helps keep the shed nice and dry inside.

Frame -  A robust planed 34 x 34mm (1 1/3' x 1 1/3') framework (walls and floor) that gives the building strength.

Door - Supplied with reinforced ledged doors and hasp and staple (padlock not supplied) is supplied for security.

Floor -  Is constructed from 11mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB). It has similar properties to plywood. OSB is a high quality 'Solid Sheet Board'. The shed floor also comes with floor joists giving the shed a solid sturdy feel and greater load capacity.

Roof -  Is constructed from 9mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB).  It has similar properties to plywood. OSB is a high quality 'Solid Sheet Board'.  Supplied with roofing felt.

Treatment - All Shire garden buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a golden brown water based industrial product (colour can vary from the picture shown). Shire the manufacturer recommends that you apply a water based top coat of your choice. This will protect the timber from weathering on your shed making it last longer and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to the manufacturer's instructions

Full assembly instructions are provided with this Apex Shed and with all the fittings in the box as standard you will be amazed at how simple your shed is to install. I
