The Metpost Monfort Spear Top Metal Railing will provide your garden with both style, practicality and extra security. The Metpost Montford Spear Top Metal Railing is a simple line design finished off with a decorative spear style top.  It is designed for maximum style and visibility. The railings are ideally suited to finishing off a wall.  Metpost Montford Spear Top Metal Railing is easy to fit to brickwork, metal or timber posts.  Option available to order 10 or more railings.

Dimensions - The Height of the Railing is 0.485 (1'7") and the width measures 1.81m (5'11")

Build Quality - All our Metpost metal railings use only the highest quality steel that is then galvanised AND powdercoated for improved corrosion resistance. 

Please Note: As this railing is powdercoated you do not have to paint this railing on arrival which is not the case for other metal railings on the market.  We would recommend in the future in order to maintain your railing that as required you paint your railing with a suitable paint.

Please Note:  All imperial measurements are approximate and all metal railings are made from metric measurements. When measuring the sizes quoted also includes the fittings for the railing.  If purchasing metal posts these should also be added to the railing width measurement.

All Required Bolts (except wall plugs)

Universal Metal Posts -  If you require metal posts with your railings these can be purchased separately.  The posts are also galvanised and powder coated for improved corrosion resistance. When measuring you should make an allowance for the fitting of the posts. 

The Dimension for the Universal Metal  Posts is:
Width x Depth:  50mm x 50mm
Height: 1375mm (4'6")

Metcrete - Metcrete is a fast-set post fixing concrete. Easy to use - just add water. For use with wood, metal or concrete posts. Sets in 10 minutes and requires no mixing before use.  You will need to purchase 1 bag per post.

How to ensure you have the correct railing size

The measurements supplied for the Metpost Montford Spear Top Metal Railing is the actual railing width, height (to the top of the ball tops) and the fittings.  As part of your measurements you will need to allow for posts and ground clearance where applicable.  Also consider the ground clearance as part of your finished height.

Delivery Information:

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE AND FLAT PACKED READY FOR SELF FITTING.

Booking Delivery - Your delivery will take place between 5 and 10 working days from date of order. This manufacturer operates a text system to your mobile phone and you will receive two text messages, the first alerting you that the order is being scheduled for delivery and the second to confirm a delivery date. If no mobile phone number is available you will be contacted by Email.

You can address any problems with the team as required before accepting the proposed delivery date to your satisfaction. On the morning of delivery you will normally receive a call from the delivery driver.

Q. What are the metpost railings made of?
A. Mild steel, electro-galvanised (Zinc Plated) and Black Powder Coated this means that the fence is more resistant to corrosion which is important with metal.

Q. How heavy is Metpost Montford Spear Top Metal Railing?
A. 13kg

Q. How do I maintain this railing?
A. With a good quality exterior paint.

Q. How do fit the railing to a wall/post?
A. With the optional metpost fittings set

Q. How do you fix a post in to the ground if you do not want to use concrete?
A. The post can be fixed in to the ground in much the same way as a wooden post, however we would always recommend concreting in.

Q. Can I cut the post down?
A. You can cut the post down using a hacksaw or angle grinder. You should however coat the exposed area as quickly as possible with a zinc-rich paint or a good quality exterior paint.

Q. Do I have to paint my railing on arrival?
A. No.  As this railing is galvanised and powder coated you do not have to paint it upon arrival.

Q. Is black the only colour?
A. Yes. However the railing can be painted with a good quality exterior paint.
