The aluminium gutters are built in as standard into Elite greenhouses which adds additional strength to the existing structure and allows for a rainwater collection kit to be fitted to collect and recycle the rainwater. (Not available on the Elite Cold Frame Greenhouses).

The door(s) take the gentlest of touches to open and close and includes a durable door catch. This is a standard feature for both single door and double door Elite Greenhouses.

This option is suitable for if you have children or just want piece of mind. In the event of breakage the toughened glass granulates removing any danger of injury. Elite only use Grade A toughened glass to Standard EN12150 which is primarily in full length sheets which provides a neater finish, especially if optional bar capping is being used. The full length glazing removes any overlapping glass where algae and moss can often be a problem. Elite are one of the few manufacturers who use full length toughened glass.

Toughened glass is available as an optional extra.

The aluminium base is an integral part of the framework and is a standard feature on the Compact, Streamline, Craftsman, High Eaves and Belmont Greenhouses. As standard the doors are "dropped" into the Elite's Aluminium Integral Base providing a ground level threshold allowing easy access for the user. This is a unique feature on a greenhouse.

The Bases for these greenhouses are made from aluminium which removes the fear of rust, rot or warping. An aluminium base not only eliminates the need for the traditional brick base but also allows you to sit the greenhouse straight on to any solid foundation, soil or grass. Elite aluminium bases can only be guaranteed to fit an Elite Greenhouse.

This sits over the door threshold of your greenhouse allowing for easier access for wheelbarrows and wheelchairs. The drop door cill also provides a neat and professional finish and is supplied as standard.

The automation of louvre vents is an excellent and hugely popular choice when purchasing a greenhouse. This Automatic Louvre Vent is used to convert a manual louvre vent to an automatic louvre vent. Ideal for when you are out at work or away on holiday as ventilation is provided automatically for the greenhouse via a solar powered wax cylinder. The key to the action of an automatic louvre vent system is the mineral wax which it contains. When the wax gets hot, it expands and opens the vent and when it cools down it contracts and the spring closes the louvre vent.

The Automatic Louvre Vent can be purchased as an optional extra and can be added to some or all of your manual louvre vents.

Made from extruded aluminium giving a stronger and thicker material. Cantilever bracing attaches directly on to the greenhouse framework structure adding extra strength and stability. This is a very popular choice for customers choosing an aluminium frame. The optional Bar Capping provides a stronger hold for the glazing and also adds a decorative finish to any greenhouse. The rubber fin also adds a better water seal between the frame and glass. Bar Capping is used in addition to the standard wire clips so in effect will add double protection which is ideal in more exposed areas. The capping is simply fixed into position using colour coded fixings which does not leave any unsightly silver screw heads on show. You have the options to select the bar capping colour. You will automatically be sent the bar capping length to match the greenhouse size you have selected.

Please Note: Elite do not recommend bar capping with overlapping glass, the toughened glass option should be selected when choosing the bar capping option. The colour chart is a guide - colours may appear differently here than they appear in real life.

This Optional Elite Standard Rainwater Kit for Freestanding Greenhouses contains pipe work and outlets for one end of each gutter and stoppers to terminate the opposite ends. The system works by training the collected water into a barrel or other designated outlet. All fixtures and fittings needed to fit the kit are included. Water Barrel sold separately.

A threshold is left in the wall for the door(s) to be dropped in to allow easy access for the user and for wheelchair users too. This Dwarf Wall is a popular option on greenhouses when you require eaves height of which part is brickwork and the remainder is glass and aluminium. This dwarf wall option comes with full sheet toughened glass and a cambered drop door which provides easy access and a neat professional finish.

Once an order has been taken and confirmed you will be provided with a base plan for you to begin constructing the wall. The bricks used should be completely solid engineered brick with no holes and be made to a good standard.
