All timber is from sustainable sources, so that you can feel good about buying this shed. You won't find a better Shiplap Shed. All timber is from sustainable sources, so that you can feel good about buying a wooden Shire shed. Shire garden buildings are made from a high grade ship-lap tongue and groove construction. This is distinguished from fast grown type timber used on cheaper sheds from other manufactures. Tongue and groove construction means the building is better sealed from the elements. The timber used is a continental slow grown timber. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life.

Supplied flat packed for self assembly.

Frame:  A robust Planed 34 x 34mm (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") framework (walls and floor) that gives the building strength.

Roof:  The roof is constructed from 11mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB) with included roofing felt.

Floor:  The floor is manufactured from high quality 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding.

Windows:  Are properly morticed and tenoned. They are opening, profiled, and weather resistant. The window has a unique profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have 2 levels of opening. The glazing is 3mm horticultural glass. All glazing is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitered (no awkward corners to be cut)

Doors: Ledged doors for extra strength. Hinges may be fitted to the right or the left.

Treatment:  All Shire buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a honey brown water based industrial product.
