Assembly of the summerhouse is included in the price - all that you need to do is provide a solid level base on which the building can stand. If you already have a base of adequate size then you need not follow these instructions. However, if you want to create a base on an area of grass/earth then read on.
    Building a Base:
Step 1: Ensure there are no cables or pipes in the area (seek expert advice if necessary). Mark out a level area for the base, ideally using pegs and string - it is very important that this area is squared by ensuring both diagonal distances are the same.
Step 2: Excavate 70mm below ground for hard soil and slightly deeper if you have soft soil (allow for a layer of hardcore). Then, use 1 part cement and 8 parts course sand to make a dry mix. Make enough for a depth of 45mm and spread evenly using a rake until level.
Step 3: To lay the slabs, start from one corner and work outwards using a rubber mallet to tap down the slabs and a spirit level. Butt the slabs together. The base should be higher than the surrounding ground to enhance drainage. When the base is complete simply brush off any excess dry mix on the base.

Delivery note: These sheds are only available for assembly and delivery in the counties of HERTFORDSHIRE, BEDFORDSHIRE, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE, BUCKINGHAMSHIRE, MERSEYSIDE & LANCASHIRE.
