Shire's summerhouses are renowned for their quality and probably make the best value for money summerhouses in the UK today. The Kensington Summerhouse gives you a great view of your garden whilst at the same time providing the comfort that you expect from a quality summerhouse.

Double doors, a large opening window and dual glazed panels allow plenty of light in.

An optional verandah gives you the opportunity to mellow in the warm summer air. It adds 650mm to the length.

All timber is from sustainable sources, so that you can feel good about buying a Shire summerhouse.

Shire buildings are made from a high grade ship-lap tongue and groove construction. This is distinguished from fast grown type timber used on cheaper sheds from other manufactures. Tongue and groove construction means the building is better sealed from the elements. The timber used is a continental slow grown timber. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life.

 Frame: A robust Planed 35x35mm (1 1/2" x 1 1/2") framework (walls and floor) that gives the building strength.

Floor: consists of 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding.

Roof: constructed using 11mm oriented strand board (OSB).

Walls: are constructed using high quality 12mm thick softwood planed tongue and groove shiplap pattern boarding.

Treatment: all Shire buildings are supplied pre-treated on both sides in a honey brown water based industrial product.

Windows: are properly morticed and tenoned. They are opening, profiled, and weather resistant. The window has a unique profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have 2 levels of opening. The glazing is 3mm horicultural glass. All glazing is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitred (no awkward corners to be cut)
