- Timber: all Shire's timber is from renewable sources as approved by the Forestry Stewardship Council. The timber is thicker than that of most summerhouses which demonstrates how much more of a robust structure a Shire Pine Lodge is.
- Treatment: the timber floor joists are pressure treated for long term protection against rot and fungus.
- Joinery: All windows are properly morticed and tenoned. They are opening, profiled, and weather resistant. The windows have a unique profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have 2 levels of opening. The glazing is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitred meaning there are no awkward corners to be cut.
Please note: Shire's buildings are built to the metric measurements - the imperial measurements are approximate and nominal only. All dimensions are external. To convert from external to internal, just minus 250mm.
