Things You Could Store in a Shed

Things You Could Store in a Shed.

Ok, so you’ve gone onto the internet to do a bit of browsing and you suddenly stumble across www.elbecgardenbuildings.co.uk . You happen to be looking to replace that worn down old shed you have in your back garden and notice Elbec’s September Offers!

The Shire Jersey  13 x 6' 6"  Double Door Apex Shed catches your eye at an absolute steal at £599.00 with pressure treatment included. Not being one to miss out on a bargain, you run downstairs to grab your card and order it online. Easy.

Fast forward 3 weeks and the old shed has gone and the Shire Jersey Shed is safely in your back garden, however it’s looking very empty. So just what could you fill it with?
You go into the packed garage and collect the tool kit off wall, take it round the back and hang it on the wall.

Going back into the garage you find your wheelbarrow and fill it with spades, rakes, hedge cutters and numerous other garden tools. Wheeling it round to the shed, you hang the rake and spades from the wall and place the cutters neatly in the corner.

‘Hmmm… still an awful lot of empty space to fill’, you think to yourself. You pull the lawnmower out from the garage and wheel it up against the back wall.
‘Ah! The ladder can go out of the garage and into the shed’, you realise. So next in goes the ladder, propped up nicely against a side. Smiling, satisfied with your work so far, you decide there’s still room for the lawnmower and a few more items before it becomes too cluttered. 2 minutes later and the families 4 fold-up sun loungers and a pressure washer fill the remaining space.

Everything in the shed looks nice and neat, there’s still room to manoeuvre around and for the first time in years the garage looks fairly uncluttered! Your partner is no longer nagging away at you to clear out the garage and there’s plenty of space for the kids to keep a few toys.

‘Money very well spent’, you think

Argos the Greek shed

Argos the Greek Shed Short Story Argos the Greek Shed was a large 10 x 10 shed and was manufactured in Athens 1985. Argos the Greek shed was spotted in Athens and was much admired by his new owner Stavros. So Stavros paid 900 Euro for Argos the Greek shed and took Argos the Greek Shed to his cat sanctuary on the Greek island of Skiathos.

Argos the Greek shed was delivered and then assembled and was now ready for use. Now Argos the Greek Shed was so called after his owner Argos. Argos was a small tubby chap who loved sailing. Argos the Greek Shed was ideal for storing all of Argos sailing equipment. Right then Argos said Argos to his lovely shed. What I need you for Argos is to keep all me sailing equipment nice and secure.

I don’t want anyone coming in Argos and stealing me equipment. With a gentle tap tap on Argos, Argos jumped in his car and drove off. Argos the Greek Shed checked his padbolt, everything secure so everything will be safe and sound. Argos starting checking all his equipment he was told to look after. Hmm a nice white sail, must be a spare, one battery, one new engine, lots of life jackets, a how to safe your life book, book of sos messages and so on. Argos the Greek shed had become the talk of the cats in the cat sanctuary. This shed Argos put up is nice.

A purrfect place for a catnap I say purred Mythos the cat. Mythos waited for Argos to open the door of Argos the Greek Shed and when he wasn’t looking, quickly nipped in. Mythos spotted this nice white sail and thought that would be the purrfect place for a catnap. Argos won’t mind, Im sure.

The end.

Hey is that the end of the story? Blumming rubbish if you ask me. It started great with Argos and all that. I thought it was going to be one of those thrilling short stories. Well what can you say. A cat sleeping in a shed what a rubbish ending la di da.

E is for Elbec

For some reason I was sitting at my desk and couldn’t think of anything within the business that begun with the letter E. Then I remembered that the actual business begins with an E. Silly.

Anyway, let’s have a brief overview of Elbec for today’s alphabet offering:
Elbec is a company that specialises in garden buildings, supplying sheds, cabins, summerhouses, greenhouses and fencing from some of the biggest and best suppliers in the UK. We strive to offer you, the customer, the lowest possible price on these items and as a result we often have big discounts on many of our products.

We have a large selection of sheds ranging from 2x2 to 20x10 and in wood, metal and plastic varieties. So whatever you need a shed for it’s pretty safe to say that we’ll have something for you!

Another of our more popular products are our chicken and rabbit shacks.  Wide ranges are available at affordable prices and are guaranteed to keep your pets happy.

If you’re looking to add a bit of character to your garden, look no further than our arbours and arches section. With many stylish and discounted products available you’re likely to find something to impress you and all your friends. An arbour is also a nice place to sit and enjoy a relaxing drink in the sun (what’s left of it anyway!).

Garden buildings are our only area of business though, we have a sister company in the toy market, which can be found at http://www.elbectoykingdom.co.uk/index.php

Ted the Shed - Part 2

Ted the shed’s owners gasped in shock as they surveyed the damage done by the gang. The shed door was hanging off, the side panels all charred and depleted, and some valuable contents were missing from inside.
“I think we need a new shed dear” commented the man to his distraught wife. “I was searching the internet he other day and a company called Elbec Garden Buildings have sheds on offer at the moment.”
I’m going to be replaced, Ted thought to himself. He dared not think about what may happen to him. Would he be burnt down to ashes? Would he be sent to see out his days in a scrap yard left to rot? Perhaps he would be dismantled and have his panels used for something else?
“Surely it would be cheaper to just replace the burnt panels though? It can’t be that tricky. The door just needs to be re-hinged too, easy” responded his wife.
“Hmm maybe you have point, let’s take the rest of the things in the shed into the house and get back to bed. We’ll think about it tomorrow” he replied.
Ted smiled as he realised he might be saved after all. Gary the gate and Fiona the fence were both still in shock from the nights events, but were comforted a little bit by the fact Ted the shed may be fixed.
The morning came around and Ted, still extremely damaged from the night before, nervously and expectantly waited for the owners to come outside and make their decision. Lunchtime, then afternoon passed and still the owners were nowhere to be seen. Then, at about 5pm, Gary shouted out excitedly “hey Ted, they’re coming now!”. A few seconds later the owners came into the garden through the back gate and Ted the shed beamed a smile from corner to corner. Underneath their arms were brand new shed panels!
Just a couple of short hours later, Ted’s burnt panels had been replaced and he was as good as new!

Unfortunately thats all for now, but ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, make sure to read in next time when Ted moves house! (or garden, rather)

Ted the Shed - Episode 1

Once upon a time in a back garden far, far away there was a shed called Ted. Ted the shed was pretty much your run of the mill shed, who lived a quiet life in a garden in a city suburb. As nice as it was, Ted the shed couldn’t help but feel pretty bored and lonely; only seeing the residents of the house when they came to get pieces of garden equipment he was storing and only having a few friends in the garden.
One night, Ted the shed was just dozing off to sleep when he heard banging and whispering coming from the direction of the back gate. “Hey Gary, what’s going on?” he asked his good friend Gary the gate. “There’s a group of young lads trying to climb over me, help!” replied Gary. Obviously being a shed, Ted the shed couldn’t actually help at all. However he tried to shake himself in an attempt to rattle the tools that were hung up, in hope it would alert the owners of the house.
This was to no avail though and before long a group of 3 intruders appeared in the garden. Ted the shed felt a combination of fear, anger and helplessness as the group advanced towards him, like a pack of foxes descending on a defenceless rabbit.
The residents of the house still remained unstirred upstairs, unaware of what was going off outside. As they approached, Ted the shed noticed one had a crowbar. “Oh no they’re going to try and prise me open” Ted the shed thought. Gary the gate and Fiona the fence, another inhabitant of garden, could only look on in horror as one merciless member of the group forcefully opened Ted’s door. The group quickly grabbed at anything they could and begun to run away, knowing the noise they made was bound to disturb people. One young lad stopped and turned back though, and in an attempt to cover up any evidence, threw a burning match into the shed and ran!
Ted the shed was paralysed with fear as he saw the flame slowly begin to spread. He thought it was going to be the end, when suddenly he heard the residents of the house burst outside. The fire was spreading up Ted the shed sides; slowly engulfing him, until to his relief the man used his hose to damped the flames and put out the fireon Ted the shed.

Battered and burnt, Ted the shed was in serious trouble. Will Ted the Shed pull through? There’s only one way to find out – read in next week!

How many different meanings are there for the word shed?

How many different meanings are there for the word shed?

I would like to buy a nice garden shed.
Can we shed some light on that
Or do we want to shed some weight
How about shedding some paper; Sorry shred some paper
Is shed tastic a word; no apparently not.
Sheduling. Oops that should be scheduling.
Lets have some proper meanings of the word shed.
Is there a band called shed 7. From Sheffield I believe.

Perhaps we should shed a tear, bur really the word shed in this instance in similar to shed some weight or a snake sheds it skin of course so the word shed doesn’t count here.

After the water shed, nice one the order to send the kids to bed. Unfair if you are that child of course who is likely to shed a tear at missing the shed in eastenders.

Well there doesn’t seem many variations listed so far. Ok we all know about different types of shed such as cow sheds or milking sheds but these are all types of the word shed used for storage or shelter.

I would be fun to see how many different meanings we could get for the word shed, so please leave your ideas below.
