Log Stores

Log Stores

A little documented area of our website is the log stores section. Fairly obviously, the purpose of the log store is to provide a place for you to keep logs for your fire. However there are numerous advantages to keeping them in a specialised storage area.

Heating is one area many of us spend a lot of money on during winter, and as money is tight for most people at the moment any chance to save a few pennies should be welcomed. Using a log fire to heat your room and house can be a much cheaper method than using radiators or electric heaters. Logs are extremely cheap to buy and cost nothing to burn and extract heat from!

By keeping unused logs in a log store, it ensures they remain as dry as possible and ready to be put on the fire. Dry logs burn better and as a result create more heat and less smoke, which is also doing a little bit extra for the environment.

At Elbec we have 6 different types of log stores for sale:
•    4’ x 2’ Log Store (3 varieties)
•    4’ x 6’ Log Store
•    4’ or 6’ Rhino Log Store

Our most basic and therefore cheapest option is this 4x2 log store: www.elbecgardenbuildings.co.uk /index.aspx?section=product&deptid=442&productid=2395
Priced at just £94.99 it offers excellent durability and comes with a 15 year guarantee. The roof is designed to protect logs from any rain and the sides are designed to provide the logs with optimal air flow.

At the other end of the scale, our premium log store is the 6ft Rhino log store, coming in at (a still very well priced) £220.00.

The Rhino is also available with optional front doors to give your logs that extra bit of protection from the elements. Doors are an additional £70.00. The 6ft version also comes with a storage shelf above where the logs are kept. This product also comes with a 15 year guarantee.
