Shire are the largest manufacturer of log cabins in the UK. Shire log cabins are based 10 miles west of Kings Lynn at Sutton Bridge which includes factory warehouse facility and a log cabin showsite where you can see the quality at first hand of a shire log cabin.

Shire are unique in that they import their own timber from Scandinavia and Russia. It is inherently slow grown timber which means a tight grain and therefore less sap and therefore longer lasting. Spruce is used for the logs and pine for the joinery. The timber used for log cabins is of the highest grade and is not matched by anyone in the UK.

The timber is imported into Shires own purpose built quayside in the port of Wisbech.
