Watch out for the quality of timber used in a shed
Elbec mission is to provide the best quality garden sheds available at the most competitive prices.
Elbec are very good at this and here’s why.
If you compare sheds like for like, it can be very confusing. On paper they all seem to have the same specifications. Look a little closely and the extra cheap prices for a shed can unravel.
What makes up the price of a shed. Timber is the main material. But not all timber used in sheds is the same. Some timber is cheaper than others and therefore the quality will be lower. For example timber sourced from the UK is inherently of poor quality and is only fit for fencing. Some suppliers have used the cheapness of this timber to make overlap sheds. Look at the Elbec 7 x 7 overlap shed. This shed is made from Siberian timber which is of the best quality and therefore you shed will last longer much longer than those sheds made from the cheaper timber.
Shire who Elbec recommend source all their timber from Siberia. Shire is unique in that they have there own quayside and therefore timber can be imported direct to Shire without additional road journeys. This allows Shire to get a very good price for their timber. So you get a shed made from the best timber at a price not much more than those sheds made from the poorer quality timber.
If the price of the timber goes up the price of the shed will go up. Shire will not compromise on quality for the sake of price.
All shires competitors acknowledge that Shire make the best sheds at the best price.
