Shed Man versus Summerhouse Girl
There seems to be an ever increasing battle between whether a shed or a summerhouse should be bought for the garden. More and more customers appear to buying a summerhouse for storage rather than a place to relax and entertain. Is this a good idea. We investigate.
A shed is generally cheaper, however the argument is that a summerhouse will look nicer in the garden. I have to agree there are some horrid looking sheds around. We at Elbec like to sell stylish looking sheds that will look very attractive in the garden. Check out the Shire popular range and professional ranges. Many of the windows are proper joinery windows in a Georgian cris cross style.
Many sheds use the top rail to hang the window from. This is a cheaper way of providing a window in a shed but it can make the shed look quite ugly. Shires sheds usually come with an opening window and the window is much more pleasing to the eye. The net result is that a Shire shed will not look like your average shed. This therefore mitigates the argument that a summerhouse will look far nicer in the garden.
A summerhouse usually comes with a fully or at least partially glazed door. A shed will usually have a solid door.
If you are going to use the shed or summerhouse as a place for storage remember that the glazed door will ensure that your items will be on the display from the outside.
