Features

The walls of this summerhouse are constructed using premium horizontal interlocking tongue and groove boards with a shiplap profile. The shiplap profile includes a protective and aesthetically pleasing lip to create a strong, highly weather-resistant panel. Complete with thick wooden framing to support the cladding internally, this building offers a rigid and long-lasting structure. A mortice lock with a key is supplied enabling you to secure the contents of your summerhouse. Styrene glazing is used for the doors and windows, a safer alternative to traditional glass which is ideal for a busy garden where accidents can happen.

Heavy-duty tongue and groove boards are used to construct the roof and floor of this summerhouse. Using an interlocking method, the boards lock together to create a premium, strong and hard-wearing finish which is ideal for frequently used buildings and heavier items. Robust roofing felt, fixtures and fittings are all supplied as standard, alongside our detailed instructions and our manufacturer’s recommendations, to ensure a simple and stress-free assembly process. Treatment – Eco Friendly Dip-Treated Base Coat

This garden building is supplied with a water-based dip-treated base coat, designed to provide short-term protection during transport and installation.  The treatment uses a modern, non-toxic formula with added wax to help repel moisture. It is suitable for family gardens, including those with children and pets. The base is ready for you to apply your own high-quality timber preservative after installation.

Important: This dip treatment is a preparatory base coat only. We recommend applying a suitable timber preservative immediately after assembly and annually thereafter to maintain protection and validate the manufacturer’s guarantee.

Delivery

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE OR DRIVEWAY. All of our Mercia products are delivered flat packed other than fence panels (which are delivered fully constructed), direct to your home, and are supplied with a set of instructions to support assembly.

Booking Delivery

You will be required to book your delivery date at the time of placing your order (except for Metal Shed). Our 'Request a Delivery Date' service is available to the majority of areas and you'll find that the majority of the UK postcodes are FREE but some areas may incur a delivery surcharge and some postcodes are not covered at all. Select a 'requested delivery date' by entering your postcode in the 'Request a delivery date' section above. You will also be notified at this time if your area incurs a surcharge or delivery is not covered in your area.

Prior to Delivery

On the morning of your delivery date, you'll be sent an update by text with an estimated 2-hour delivery slot (this update can only be provided where a mobile number has been supplied on the billing address section at the time of checkout) together with a link to the manufacturer delivery portal where you'll be able to track your order.

Please note: Mercia Metal Sheds ONLY - your order is delivered by a courier you will not be notified prior to the delivery. If you are not in on the day of the delivery you will be carded and asked to contact the courier to arrange a new mutual delivery date. The estimated delivery lead time for Mercia's Metal sheds is identified on the product for the metal shed. Lead times are on working days (Monday - Friday) excludes Bank Holidays. These estimated lead times are provided by the manufacturer. Some remote areas will take a little longer.

Upon Delivery

Your order is delivered either kerbside or driveway and will be delivered on either a 3.5T, 7.5T or 18T Lorry. Unfortunately due to health and safety and insurance liabilities the driver will not be able to take your goods around to the back of your property but may upon request place the product at the side of the house if there are no access or restriction issues. We would not risk damaging your property whilst delivering a product to an unsafe location. Unfortunately, we will not be able to go through your property.

We would recommend against arranging for a third party to install the building before it's been delivered and checked that all parts are present, as we cannot be held liable for any third-party costs.

Pre-Painted Service - Summerhouse Only

If you choose the Painting Service, the estimated delivery lead time will be approximately 28 working days (Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). Please note that if you select the Pick a Day option, the chosen delivery date will not apply. Instead, the delivery team will contact you to arrange a new delivery date for your painted shed.

Pre-Painted Service - Summerhouse and Assembly

If you select the Painting Service and Assembly option, please review the section titled 'Orders with Assembly' below for details on the process and associated timelines.

Orders with Assembly 

The lead time for our installation option is around 7 weeks from the date of order. With the installation option, the majority of orders will have their delivery and installation on separate days; there will be a small number of orders which will have delivery and installation on the same day. You will be advised by the manufacturer's installation team which category your order falls into.

Depending on the installation option for your order, you will be contacted within the delivery timescale and given a date for either delivery/assembly on the same date or a separate date for delivery and assembly.

"Great quality garden building at a really good price. My only criticism would be that the instruction booklet is generic, covering several different models and it can be difficult to find the relevant sections for your own specific building. The print is tiny too, which doesn’t help!"

"I am very pleased with the product: Hi,Just to confirm that the summerhouse was delivered and put up first thing this morning by two excellent fitters, particularly the lativian fellow who took great pride in his work. I would appreciate it if you could pass this message on for me. I have just finished putting on further treatment and have just removed the plastic film covering the perspex only to find that the bottom right hand corner of the bottom pane of the right hand door has a crack in it. I didn't notice this at the time as the plastic film was obscuring. I'm not sure what can be done in this instance as obviously the perspex is factory fitted but I would welcome any suggestions. Other than that I am very pleased with the product. Thanks Del"
