You can store lots of garden equipment and still have an eyecatching feature in your garden with the 7 x 7 Abri Apex Garden Shed which is an attractive version of the conventional wooden shed. The criss-cross opening window enhances what is a delightful and practical addition to any garden.  This shed benefits from a tongue and groove floor included as standard. The shiplap tongue and groove walls offer a superior finish and is better sealed from the elements than an overlap or shed with just tongue and groove boarding.

Manufactured in the UK, Shire's sheds are renowned for their quality and probably manufacture the best value for money shed in the UK today. The timber is sourced from sustainable slow grown forests. Slower grown timber means tighter grain, extra strength and longer life. This is distinguished from fast grown type timber used on cheaper sheds from other manufactures. The shiplap tongue and groove construction means the building is better sealed from the elements.

Framework: The Abri has a robust planed 35x35mm (1 1/2' x 1 1/2') framework (walls and floor) that gives the building strength.

Floor: The shed's floor is manufactured from high quality 12mm planed tongue and groove matching pattern boarding.

Roof: The shed's roof is constructed from 11mm Oriented Strand Board (OSB) with included roofing felt.

Walls: The shed's walls are constructed using high quality 12mm thick softwood planed tongue and groove shiplap pattern boarding.

Treatment: All wooden Shire buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a honey brown water based industrial product.

Windows: These are properly morticed and tenoned. They are opening, profiled, and weather resistant. The window has a unique profiled 'lip' that covers the aperture of the opening in the panel making it weather resistant. Casement stays have 2 levels of opening. The glazing is 3mm horticultural glass which many other manufacturers do not use as standard. All glazing is retained by profiled beading which is pre-mitred (no awkward corners to be cut).

Doors: are ledged and supplied with a padbolt. Please note: all measurements are approximate and Shire's garden buildings are made from metric measurements.

Treatment: All Shire garden buildings are supplied pre-treated with a base coat to both sides in a golden brown water based industrial product (colour can vary from the picture shown). Shire the manufacturer recommends that you apply a water based top coat of your choice. This will protect the timber from weathering on your shed making it last longer and will need to be repeated accordingly in relation to the manufacturer's instructions.

Supplied flat packed for ease of handling and assembly. All fittings and felt are included in the price with clear easy to follow instructions.

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE AND ARE FLAT PACKED READY FOR ASSEMBLY

FREE delivery is offered to the majority of mainland UK postcodes but some areas may incur a surcharge and some postcode areas are not covered at all. Please check your postcode in the ‘Delivery cost checker’ above to confirm availability and any possible surcharges.

Delivery Leadtimes
The estimated delivery lead time for this product is identified on the product page above. Lead times are in working days (Monday - Friday) excludes Bank Holidays. These estimated lead times are provided by the manufacturers and are not guaranteed - due to fluctuation in demand - but are provided in good faith and are representative of delivery at that time. Some remote areas will take a little longer.

Booking Delivery
By entering your postal code in the ‘Pick a delivery day. ENTER POSTCODE’ Box above you can select a delivery date. The evening before this delivery date you will be sent a text message (where a mobile has been provided) with an estimated delivery window.  This update can only be provided where a mobile number has been supplied on the billing address section at the time of checkout.

Upon Delivery
Delivery is made by Shire the manufacturer. Delivery of this item is typically made by a 17 ton flat-bed (similar size to a council refuse lorry). Delivery is typically between 7am and 7pm. The delivery drivers are only insured to deliver to kerb side or driveway. We would not risk damaging your property whilst delivering a product. Unfortunately we will not be able to go through your property. Deliveries are hand-balled off by the driver.

We would recommend against arranging for a third party to install the building before it's been delivered and checked that all parts are present, as we cannot be held liable for any third-party costs.

Installation option
If you are choosing the installation option after placing your order you’ll be contacted within 5 working days by Shire the manufacturer either by a text message or automated telephone message (the latter if a mobile number is not supplied). This message will supply you with the name of the website to go on to where you will be required to accept the terms and conditions for assembly. Any delay in accepting these terms and conditions may affect your timescale. Once you have accepted these terms and conditions you will be contacted during the timescale with a date for the delivery/assembly of your order. The installation option will extend your lead time by up to 15-25 working days. This may take longer during seasonal periods. Please be aware that the installation team will require full access to your garden, 18" clearance all around the building and a firm and level base. Shire's installation team will not bring a building through your home as they are not covered by insurance to enter a customer’s home.

"Quality shed at a budget price: After looking at sheds at several garden centers and B&Q, I decided to look on line and came across elbec, advertising the shed I was looking for at a reasonable price. I placed the order and it was delivered on time with no problems at all. It was simple to erect and it only took a morning with a little assistance from my wife. I'm 67 years old, so you don't have to be Bob the builder to put one of these up. Great shed, if I could have attached a picture I would have, because now it's been painted a nice green and grey it looks great, and well worth showing off. One minor gripe.
