Base and Installation Guide

Paving Slabs or Concrete

When installing your Elite Titan The Edge 800 Greenhouse, choosing the right base is key for stability and long-lasting performance. A popular option is to create a level, paved or concrete area. We recommend making the base slightly larger than the greenhouse dimensions, as listed sizes are nominal and the actual structure can be a few inches bigger. Always refer to the metric measurements in the specification table to get the correct size.

For example, an 8’x6’ greenhouse is best suited to a slab area of around 10’x8’. This not only ensures a proper fit but also provides extra room for placing water butts and makes cleaning and maintenance more accessible.

Soft Ground

If you are constructing your greenhouse on soft ground, such as soil or grass, solid support under the door cill is essential to prevent damage from repeated use. This can be achieved by placing flags under the cill or using Elite’s soft soil support, ensuring the door runs smoothly on the track. 

No matter the surface, Elite supplies secure anchoring options for the base, giving you confidence in a stable and reliable installation.

Bespoke Greenhouse Options

Elite offers full flexibility to customise your greenhouse to fit your space and needs. While The Edge 800 gable end (width) remains fixed, you can choose any front elevation length in 2ft increments.  Simply let us know your preferred length, and we can customise it to your specifications. Aluminium Greenhouse Maintenance

Maintenance and care are essential for prolonging the lifespan of your Elite Greenhouse. The upkeep is simple but can ensure your greenhouse serves you for many years, even decades. Cleaning your greenhouse is crucial in enhancing the plant-growing environment by eliminating algae, moss, and grime. It allows more light in and also helps in managing pests and diseases.

To maintain your greenhouse effectively, start by temporarily relocating your plants. Use a brush to clean tabletops, remove cobwebs from corners, and eliminate floor debris. Ensuring clean windows inside and outside is vital for maximising light levels. You can clean the glass, aluminium, and plastic surfaces with a microfibre cloth, using hot, soapy water or a commercial greenhouse cleaning product. Rinse with clean water and let it dry.

ALL DELIVERIES ARE DELIVERED TO KERBSIDE OR DRIVEWAY, DELIVERIES CAN BE MADE TO THE BACK OF THE PROPERTY SO LONG AS THERE ARE NO ACCESS OR RESTRICTION ISSUES. PRODUCTS ARE DELIVERED FLAT PACKED READY FOR ASSEMBLY.

Once you have placed your order you will receive three automatic emails from elbec about your order.

Booking Delivery

Between 15-20 working days after placing your order you’ll be contacted by telephone by our manufacturer’s delivery team with a delivery date. Your delivery is made by Elite’s own transport.

Delivery Leadtimes

The estimated delivery lead time for this product is identified on the product page above (please be aware if ordering a coloured greenhouse the leadtime is extended by up to 2 weeks). Lead times are in working days (Monday - Friday) excludes Bank Holidays. These estimated lead times are provided by the manufacturers and are. Some remote areas will take a little longer.

Upon Delivery

Delivery is between 7am to 7pm. Your order is a kerbside delivery in many instances the driver can deliver your order either to the side of your property or the back. You do not have to be present on the day of the delivery. If you are unable to be present please can you let the delivery team know when they call to book in your delivery date, as they will be able to leave the item somewhere safe this would be at your own risk. There must be no access or restriction issues. Unfortunately we will not be able to go through your property.
