Ways to make the Most of the Arley Summerhouse

As a charming spot to spend your leisure time, it really is hard to beat a summerhouse. Adorned with a table and chairs, you have the perfect dining space for two. Many customers report that this is exactly why they purchased their summerhouses, as a place to relax with a glass of wine and something to eat with loved ones on a beautiful day. Plus, with the double doors thrown open, you can spill out into your garden, perhaps if you are entertaining or would just lie to bask in the sun. With a stunning veranda included as part of the Arley package, this gives you a wonderful spot to enjoy the outdoors against the picturesque backdrop of your summerhouse. We hear time after time how our customers have really increased their enjoyment of the outdoors with a summerhouse. Alternatively, many people purchase a summerhouse as a handy new space for their favourite spare time activities. It may be a quiet nook for reading that you’re after, or perhaps somewhere peaceful and inspiring to paint or draw; either way, a summerhouse could give you the space you need. However you decide to make the most of your summerhouse, you can enjoy the best that the outdoors has to offer in considerable style with the Arley.

Why the Arley Might be for you

Lovers of a traditional summerhouse look are often drawn to the Arley. With its elegant, Georgian-style windows, you are given a classic appearance and feel that many of our customers love. But the veranda is the real talking point of the Arley. It turns what would be an attractive summerhouse even without a veranda into one that immediately catches the eye with its elegant, beautiful looks. A generous roof height, glazed double doors and accompanying windows provide an interior that feels spacious, bright and airy. This makes spending time inside a real pleasure. It is also hard to beat the attractive timber finish of a wooden garden building and there is no doubt you will notice the quality of your summerhouse as soon as you step inside. Our customers often like to add their own personal touch by painting their summerhouses and they look fantastic in any colour. Many manufacturers recommend that you use Protek paint, available from elbec in over 50 different colours. By using Protek Royal Exterior, you can make the Arley look exactly how you want it while adding extra protection to the timber.

The Arley boasts a number of features that show its quality. Its shiplap cladding promotes water run-off and ensures the boards seal together tightly. This provides excellent protection for the interior from the worst of the British weather. The wide opening double doors allow you to spill out into your garden as well as to take larger items in and out with ease, such as furniture or anything you want to store over the winter. The covered veranda is also a key feature of the Arley. A veranda can be a costly extra on some garden buildings; not so with the Arley, as it is included in the fantastic price. An almost fully glazed frontage, including the double doors and two fixed windows, allows in plenty of natural light. Plus, two side windows ensure the interior is extra bright. These side windows can be opened, so you can regulate the temperature inside your summerhouse with ease. A tongue and groove roof provides exceptional protection from the weather and the mineralised roofing felt, included with your purchase, further helps to protect your building from the elements. A robust tongue and groove floor is included, which can withstand heavy loads, meaning you can adorn your summerhouse with your favourite furniture and decorations without worry. An superb feature on the Arley is that toughened glass is used for the windows as standard; on most summerhouses, this is usually an upgrade that you have to pay extra for.
