A high-quality wooden summerhouse is the ultimate upgrade for your garden. The versatile interior and adaptable design allow you to use this garden room in many ways. As it has ample interior, it’s a multifunctional garden building. Create an office in one area, and add comfy seating for a relaxing space. Alternatively, add gym equipment to part of the space and use the rest for a stylish garden dining area. A professional summerhouse installation team installs the wooden summerhouse. You will need to create a firm and level base, preferably concrete.

The double doors provide excellent ventilation, and as they are fully glazed, you get lots of light inside the garden room even when closed. The external cladding is made with  engineered wood board with a cedar finish. The walls are treated with an advanced formula of adhesive resins, water-resistant waxes and zinc borate. A Water-resistant, resin-saturated overlay is then bonded to the product. It gives the structure four components to help resist fungal decay and insect damage. All binding agents and resins are low-emitting.

The engineered wood board resists buckling, peeling, cracking, chipping and more.

The superior treatment means you don’t have to carry out any maintenance. You won’t need to paint it every year. However, you can refresh the paint to keep it looking new.

The internal cladding features an MDF board which is moisture-resistant. An Oxford profile finish gives the walls a grooved look that imitates traditional cladding.  YBS Airtec Double insulation is used within the walls and roof. It consists of highly reflective aluminium foil with a laminated surface for durability on either side of an air bubble membrane. The membrane acts as a Vapour Control Layer. An R-Value of 1.45 Airtec Double equals around 55mm of Polystyrene.

The flooring of the summerhouse is made with tongue and groove boards for strength. A 25mm Celotex insulation is also included with the floor to help keep the interior at a comfortable temperature. A herringbone vinyl flooring finish makes the interior feel high-end. 

The high-end features of this modern garden office include handcrafted joinery on the windows and doors.  You also have an option for UPVC Windows and doors or Aluminium windows and doors in anthracite grey, black or white.  Choosing this option will extend the delivery time. These options will reduce the door height slightly, and prices are available on request.

Choose a mix of your favourite colours or select hues that complement each other.

About Your Order:

The Shire Garden Office Pod is a British-made garden building made from FSC® certified timber. You will get a low-carbon footprint summerhouse made from ethically sourced materials. It comes with a 10-year warranty. 

Price includes assembly by Shire’s professional fitting team. You’ll need a firm and level concrete base. Our manufacturer’s assembly team will contact you requesting images of the base.  Occasionally, they may visit the site to confirm the base is suitable for assembly. Once they have confirmed the base is appropriate, you will be given a delivery/assembly date (delivery and assembly are on the same day).

Please note: Images depict the summerhouse pre-painted and with furnishings and accessories; these are for illustration purposes only and are not included with your order.

Garden Office Aftercare:

The home garden office has been treated using a proprietary zinc borate-based process.  As this is an advanced treatment, it makes it a maintenance-free garden building. If required, you can repaint the building to keep it looking new.

Welcome to Cali! When you purchase our products, rest assured that the prices include both building and assembly services. After placing your order, expect to hear from Shire, our trusted manufacturer, within 5 working days. You'll receive either a text message or an automated telephone message (if a mobile number isn't provided), guiding you to a website where you can accept the terms and conditions for assembly. Please note that any delay in accepting these terms may impact your delivery timeline.

Once you've accepted the terms, we'll schedule your delivery and assembly within the specified timeframe. It's important to ensure that your garden has full access, with 18" clearance all around the building and a firm, level base ready. Please be aware that our installation team won't carry the building through your home, garage, or any other structure, as this isn't covered by our insurance policy.

Delivery and assembly lead times for Cali products vary. While FREE delivery is available to most mainland UK postcodes, some areas may incur a surcharge, and certain postcodes might not be covered. Use our 'Delivery cost checker' tool to confirm availability and any additional charges.

Keep in mind that lead times provided on our product pages are estimates and may be longer during peak seasons. These estimates are provided by the manufacturers and are subject to change due to demand fluctuations. However, we strive to deliver in good faith and provide a representative timeframe. Delivery is typically made by Shire using a 17-ton flat-bed vehicle, similar in size to a council refuse lorry, between 7 am and 7 pm.

For ground screws delivery and installation, communication and coordination will be handled directly by Gorilla Ground Screws. Expect to hear from their team within 5 working days to discuss the ground screw area. They'll collaborate closely with Shire's assembly team to ensure seamless integration with your Cali installation.

• You can anticipate receiving communication from their team within 2-3 working days to confirm acceptance of your order and to discuss the installation area for the ground screws.
• Following this, you'll receive a pre-installation questionnaire to complete.
• Once Gorilla Ground Screws receives and reviews the questionnaire without concerns, they will contact you to schedule the ground screw installation.
• A confirmation call will be made 1-2 days before the scheduled installation date.
