Investing in a high-quality wooden summerhouse is an excellent upgrade for any garden. With its adaptable design and versatile interior, you can use this garden room in various ways. A team of professional installers will handle the wooden summerhouse installation, but you must prepare a firm and level base, preferably made of concrete.

The fully glazed double doors offer excellent ventilation and ample light to enter the garden room even when closed. The external cladding is made of engineered wood board with a cedar finish. The walls are treated with advanced formulas of adhesive resins, water-resistant waxes, and zinc borate to provide resistance against fungal decay and insect damage. All the binding agents and resins used are low-emitting, making it safe for use.

The engineered wood board has exceptional resistance to damages like buckling, peeling, cracking, and chipping. The superior treatment applied means there is no need for maintenance, and you won't have to paint it yearly. However, you can always refresh the paint to maintain its new look.

The interior cladding consists of a moisture-resistant MDF board with an Oxford profile finish that imitates traditional cladding's grooved look. The walls and roof are insulated with YBS Airtec Double insulation, consisting of highly reflective aluminium foil with a laminated surface on either side of an air bubble membrane. The membrane acts as a Vapour Control Layer, and the R-Value of 1.45 Airtec Double is equivalent to around 55mm of Polystyrene.

The flooring of the summerhouse is made of tongue and groove boards for added strength. It also comes with 25mm Celotex insulation to keep the interior at a comfortable temperature. The herringbone vinyl flooring finish gives the interior a high-end look.

The garden office's high-end features include handcrafted joinery on the windows and doors, and there's an option to choose UPVC or aluminium windows and doors in anthracite grey, black, or white. However, selecting this option will extend the delivery time, and the door height will be slightly reduced. Prices for these options are available on request.

About Your Order:

The Shire Garden Office Pod is a British-made garden building made from FSC® certified timber. You will get a low-carbon footprint summerhouse made from ethically sourced materials. It comes with a 10-year warranty. 

Price includes assembly by Shire’s professional fitting team. You’ll need a firm and level concrete base. Our manufacturer’s assembly team will contact you requesting images of the base.  Occasionally, they may visit the site to confirm the base is suitable for assembly. Once they have confirmed the base is appropriate, you will be given a delivery/assembly date (delivery and assembly are on the same day).

Garden Office Aftercare

The home garden office has been treated using a proprietary zinc borate-based process.  As this is an advanced treatment, it makes it a maintenance-free garden building. If required, you can repaint the building to keep it looking new.

Delivery and Installation Timeframes

We offer same-day delivery and installation services. While we strive to complete the installation on the same day, larger buildings may require more than one day for installation. Our lead times are calculated in working days (Monday - Friday) and do not include Bank Holidays. These estimates are sourced from the manufacturers and serve as a general guideline, subject to fluctuations in demand. We provide this information in good faith to represent the expected delivery during that period. Please note that some remote areas might experience slightly longer lead times.

Booking Delivery and Installation

Delivery and Installation Procedure

Within 5 working days, Shire, the manufacturer, will reach out to you. This communication will be via either a text message or an automated telephone message. If a mobile number is not provided, the latter method will be used. This message will include the necessary website link where you can review and accept the assembly's terms and conditions. Prompt acceptance of these terms is crucial to avoid any potential delays. Once you've agreed to the terms and conditions, Shire will contact you within the specified timeframe to arrange the delivery and assembly date for your order. Please note that this process might take more time during peak seasons. Keep in mind that the installation team will require unobstructed access to your garden, a minimum of 18" clearance around the building, and a solid, level foundation. It's important to know that Shire's installation team cannot bring the building through your home, as they lack the insurance coverage for entering a customer’s property.

Delivery Day

The manufacturer, Shire, handles the delivery process. Typically, this item will be delivered using a 17-ton flat-bed vehicle, similar in size to a council refuse lorry. Deliveries are scheduled within the time frame of 7 am to 7 pm."
